We use high-purity quartz glass for a reason. Cheap glass absorbs the UV light, meaning the energy stays in the tube instead of hitting the ink. With quartz, more photons actually do their job. We also tweaked the electrodes to stop “sputtering.” You know that annoying darkening that happens to tubes over time? We’ve mostly put a stop to that. Plus, they work with standard industrial controllers and come with various end-caps, so you get a tight seal and a steady connection every time.
Real Talk: The Shop Floor
Now, a better lamp helps, but it isn’t a magic wand. High-output lamps gethot. Really hot. If your conveyor is crawling or your cooling fans are choked with dust, your thin plastics are going to warp. It’s a headache you don’t want. Keep an eye on your cooling system. As long as you can handle the heat, you can run higher-wattage tubes and take on new, complex print styles without watching your maintenance budget vanish.
